Too many network managers live in spreadsheet hell.

Your network lifecycle should not depend on someone remembering to update a spreadsheet.

Yet many IT teams still track equipment age, warranties, licensing and refresh schedules across spreadsheets, vendor portals and renewal calendars.

That creates more than administrative work. It can lead to missed renewals, unsupported equipment and unplanned capital expenses.

That is what caught my attention about my partner's Network as a Service model. Hardware, software, support and lifecycle management are bundled into one predictable subscription, so licensing and hardware refreshes are managed as part of the service rather than as separate projects.

It may not be the right model for every environment. But for organizations managing multiple locations or approaching a major refresh, it is worth evaluating.

How much of your network lifecycle still depends on manual tracking?
